“Forest of Fire”

Although our lands they be parched
and the clouds just roll by
with no token of mercy
in response to our cries...

And when weary we grow
and desire doth wane
and we pray for a wind
to fan coals into flame...

And dark it becomes
within and without
and the enemy taunts,
accuses and shouts...

And all it seems lost
and you`re asking God why
and you feel like a deluge
will come if you cry...

And indeed you feel numb
and your sap seems not to flow
and your leaves have all fallen
from limb and from bough...

Well, those leaves on the ground,
branches and sticks
are no less than kindling
for tongues of fire to lick.

So, remember His passion,
His love and desire
because just from one spark
comes a forest of fire !
