“Abuse of Power ???”

I wonder what you`re doing
and from where your power comes...
Good or bad, I feel they`ve been had
and so, I won`t succumb.

They stand there in their pews
just like bowling pins—
How do you feel ? The more you keel,
is the more souls, that you win ?

And, may I suggest there are many
just looking for a show,
to be entertained by circus train
with roaring lions, painted clowns and acrobats in tow.

Now, I don`t doubt the scriptures
or miracles in this final hour—
the book of Acts is a fact
but are you not abusing power ?

Is it drawing people closer
to our Lord Jesus Christ ?
Or is it blinding and deluding
like the Pide Piper did the mice.

Well, I have a darling friend
who did to your three rings attend
and when all around her fell
she alone remained to tell;

Her stance in defiance
for she did not flinch or cower,
an example to one and all
of what may well be, an abuse of power.
